About Clear Bridge Water Co.
We’re new. That’s why we’re doing this the right way.
Clear Bridge Water Co. is a Charlotte-based retailer of water-treatment equipment, service plans and testing. We started it to be the honest, data-first option in a business better known for high-pressure in-home sales.
Why we started
If you’ve ever had a water salesperson at your kitchen table, you may know the routine. A meter reading that looks alarming. A drop of reagent that turns the glass a scary color. A big price, then a “today only” discount if you sign tonight.
Those demos don’t measure what they appear to, and in the Charlotte area they’re often pointed at water that doesn’t have the problem being sold. Charlotte’s city water is soft, so a softener pitch on Charlotte Water usually solves nothing (here’s the data). Meanwhile, people on private wells, where real problems like arsenic, iron and low pH are common, often never get a proper lab test at all.
We think homeowners deserve the opposite: the actual numbers, an explanation in plain English, and equipment only when the numbers call for it. That’s the whole company. Here’s what that means in practice.
What we believe
Data before a pitch
A certified-lab result or your utility’s own annual report tells you more than any kitchen-table demo. We start there, every time.
No is a fine answer
Plenty of Charlotte-area homes don’t need treatment, or need much less than they’ve been told. We’d rather lose a sale than sell the wrong thing.
Claims you can check
Every number on this site links to its source. Every product claim points to an NSF/ANSI certification. If we can’t back it up, we don’t say it.
Time to think
No same-night discounts, no “price is only good today.” You get a written quote and as long as you need to decide.
Who we are
Clear Bridge Water Co. is the trade name of PHG Industrial Solutions LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company based in Charlotte, NC. The company’s members:
- Gavin Hayes, member. The person you’ll talk with about your water, your results and your quote.
- Patrick Welch, member.
We’re a small, new company, and we’ll be straight with you about that. You won’t find invented review counts, years in business or awards on this site. When we have real reviews, they’ll show up on our reviews page exactly as customers wrote them.
What we do, and what we don’t
- Water testing, including certified-lab well panels
- Water-treatment equipment, sold by package or system
- Care Plans for filters, retesting and service
- Plumbing work. That’s done by an independent licensed plumber.
Where we work
We serve homes within about two hours of Charlotte, in both North and South Carolina: city and town water systems across the metro, and the private wells that are common in Union, Iredell, Lincoln and the surrounding counties.
