For licensed plumbing contractors

Steady water-treatment installs, from homeowners who are ready.

Clear Bridge Water Co. sells water-treatment equipment to homeowners in NC and SC. Each installation is performed by an independent, licensed plumbing contractor under that contractor's own agreement with the homeowner. We're looking for licensed contractors to do that work.

Why licensed contractors work with us

Scheduled, pre-qualified jobs

Homeowners come to you after a water test, a written equipment recommendation and a signed equipment purchase. No cold leads, no chasing.

Equipment chosen from real data

Systems are chosen from lab or utility data and certified to the matching NSF/ANSI standard, so you aren't installing a guess.

Your contract, your price, your invoice

You contract directly with the homeowner for the installation and bill them directly. We sell the equipment; we don't mark up or resell your labor.

Steady work across the region

We sell across every county and town within about two hours of Charlotte in NC and SC. Tell us which areas you cover.

Licenses we accept

Whole-house water treatment is plumbing work in North Carolina, and South Carolina requires a residential specialty license for plumbing undertakings over $500.

North Carolina

NC State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating & Fire Sprinkler Contractors

  • Plumbing Class I
  • Plumbing Class II (single-family detached homes)
  • Restricted Limited Plumbing Contractor (water treatment scope under 21 NCAC 50 .0518)

South Carolina

SC Residential Builders Commission (SC LLR)

  • Residential Specialty Contractor – Plumbing

Clear Bridge Water Co. sells water-treatment equipment, service plans and testing. Installation is performed by an independent, SC-licensed plumbing contractor under a separate agreement with you.

Requirements

  • An active plumbing license in the state where the work is done (see below).
  • General liability insurance that includes completed-operations coverage.
  • Workers' compensation coverage where your state requires it for your business.
  • You pull the required permits and schedule the required inspections.
  • You install to the applicable plumbing code and the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Certificates of insurance and license details kept current with us.

How the relationship works

You are an independent business, not our employee or subcontractor. You decide how, when and with whom you perform the installation, set your own price, and contract with and invoice the homeowner directly. Your agreement with the homeowner is separate from the homeowner's equipment purchase from us.

We coordinate scheduling between you and the homeowner and share the equipment specifications and the manufacturer's installation documentation. You're free to decline any job and to work with anyone else.

Homeowners reach you after a test-first consultation: they've seen their water test results, chosen equipment from our system packages, and know the promise we make them.

Read how we explain this to homeowners on licensing and installation.

Apply to handle installations.

Send your license type and number and the counties you cover. We verify every license and certificate of insurance before any referral.
