A few quick questions, one at a time. It takes about 90 seconds.

What we do with your answers

Your ZIP code tells us which public water system most likely serves the home, or whether homes nearby usually rely on private wells. Before we call, we read that utility's latest water quality report or, for a well, what state and county data say about the area. You can see the same data yourself with our water lookup by ZIP.

Your concerns and timeline tell us what to test first. Staining and metallic taste on a well point to a lab panel for iron, manganese and pH. A taste or chlorine question on city water usually starts with the utility report. Read more about how we approach water testing.

What we don't do

We don't publish prices online, and we don't quote equipment the same night we meet you. You get a written quote that lists equipment, testing and any Care Plan, and installation is quoted separately by an independent licensed plumber. See how installation works and what we won't sell you.

Before you start

Not sure whether you're on a well? If you pay a water bill, you're on a public system. If you don't, you most likely have a well; choose “Not sure” and we'll help you find out. Wondering whether you even need a softener? The softener check gives an honest answer from your hardness number.

Texts are optional. We only text you if you check the box, and you can reply STOP at any time. Your details are used to reply to your request, as described in our Privacy Policy.
